Keynote Speakers:

Tommaso Monacelli

Tommaso Monacelli is Professor of Economics at Bocconi University (Milan), and Fellow of IGIER (Innocenzo Gasparini Institute for Economic Research), CEPR (Centre for European Economic Policy), and Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IFW). He has been Head of the Economics Department at Bocconi University from 2017 to 2022. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from New York University, and has been previously Associate Professor at Bocconi and Assistant Professor at Boston College. He is currently Co-Editor of the Journal of International Economics, and has been Managing (Co-)Editor of Economic Policy from 2016 to 2021. He is also Associate Editor of the Journal of the European Economic Association, Journal of Money Credit and Banking, European Economic Review, and IMF Economic Review. He has been grantee of the European Research Council Grant Financial Imperfections and Macroeconomic Implications 2012-2017. He is the winner of the 2026 European Central Bank Duisenberg Fellowship. He has been Visiting Professor at Columbia University (New York), and Central European University (CEU), research consultant for the ECB and the OECD, Visiting Scholar at IMF, ECB and Riksbank. His research interests are in the area of Monetary Economics, Macroeconomics, and International Macroeconomics. He has been 2026 Duisenberg fellow at the European Central Bank. He has also published in prestigious journals such as the American Economic Review, the Journal of Monetary Economics, and the Review of Economic Studies.

Mathias Trabandt

Mathias Trabandt is a Professor of Macroeconomics at Goethe University Frankfurt. He is also a Research Fellow at the Halle Institute for Economic Research (IWH) and the Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Humboldt Universität zu Berlin, and has been previously Professor at Freie Universität Berlin. His fields of interest are macroeconomics, monetary economics, public economics, labor economics, international macroeconomics, financial frictions, applied econometrics, and epidemics. He is serving as an Associate Editor at the Review of Economic Dynamics and he is a member of the Epidemic Macro Model Database project (joint with Volker Wieland and team). His research has been published in leading journals including Econometrica, the Journal of Political Economy and the Journal of Monetary Economics.
